Diving Rebels Scuba Club

Monthly Meeting– August 1, 2012

A.  Welcome –Danny Bouska opened the meeting at 7:17 PM with the Fijian greeting of “Bula” to guests and members.

B.  Recognition of Guests – Mark Estill recognized there were five guests in attendance.

C.  Meeting Activity:  A presentation a video and stills of the club trip to Fiji in July was given primarily by Danny Bouska and Steve Ogden, but all those who went assisted with the reminiscences.  It was a very entertaining presentation.  Thirteen Rebels went for the first week and eight stayed for the second.  The group took approximately 150 pounds of toys and school supplies for the local children, and there was even a marriage proposal within our group during the trip!  Steve gave us a Show-And-Tell of native tools and crafts, and shared a drink of Kava with all who desired.
